Writing on a Chalkboard Tutorial

I realized yesterday that our whole apartment was Christmassy,
Well....everything except this fun chalkboard.
Now the chalkboard has been hanging in our kitchen with "Bon Appetit" on it
since school started, and it was time for a change!

P.S. My dad made this chalkboard...we're going to start selling them on etsy soon,
drop me a line if you're interested.

I've noticed on Pinterest people posting chalkboards with really fancy-shmancy writing on them. I decided that I wanted to try to make our kitchen chalkboard festive!
Best decision of my life!

Here's what I did:
I got on my computer and typed up the words in the fonts I wanted them in
just like this.

Then I took my board and figured out where I wanted the words to go.
THEN I colored the entire back of the paper with chalk and placed it on the board
where I wanted it to go, so the font is facing UP.

Then I took a pen and colored in the words, then you lift up the page after you've colored in all of the words and there's your fancy words.

It's really faint so you have to darken it up a bit but after you get it
transferred onto the board it's easy after that.

Then just add extras to make it more festive,
it's so easy that I've decided I am changing this board for every season..

In all it took me about an hour to finish, but when you see how amazing it looks, an hour is so worth it!

{I LOVE IT SO MUCH}

So there you have it, i feel SO CRAFTY right now :) Like i could do anything!
Hope this helps everyone wanting to learn to write on your chalkboards!

Here's the finished product, in it's proper place :)
Don't you just love it? I know we do!
