Happy Monday! I hope your weekend has been swell and you are easing back into the requirements and demands of everyday life slowly.

Two weeks ago I wanted to give an update on the apartment settling in process (check) and try at least one new restaurant (check...sort of). You can find the apartment update here, in case you missed it last week. And I have now found my new favorite coffeeshop to work at. Redeye coffee is the perfect mix of great coffee, a spirit of giving back to the community and a place that is perfect to set up shop for the afternoon. The fact that I'm writing this post here on Saturday is proof enough that it's a perfect productive atmosphere.

On the agenda for this week:

1. Some serious blog soul searching. If I'm being honest here, my heart hasn't been really into blogging for the past few months. Call it a lack of inspiration, a lack of direction, or a lack of time, I want to rediscover the joy that came from sharing bits of my life on the internet for all the world to read.

2. It's now a month until I go to Texas to celebrate America's birthday. Be prepared for #jessdoestexas to fill your Twitter and Instagram feeds. I'm going to be in Ft. Worth for the weekend. Any suggestions?

3. I'm on the hunt for a go-to summer nail color. What are you wearing these days?

I was too also losing interest in bogging. I took a break for a while and kept reading more and more blogs which made me want to come back. Its ok to take a break and just enjoy other things.

I'm also in the stage for some blog soul searching. I have so many different directions to go in, which sometimes can be discouraging or exciting. I hope it all comes together for you :) And lately, I've been loving teal nails or sea foam green. Something cool and refreshing for summer! Happy June! xo, gina

Have fun in TX! I've missed out on much of the middle section of the U.S., but a cross-country road trip is definitely on the bucket list.

As for the blog soul searching, I've been there, too, and pretty recently. I've always loved sharing pieces of our lives and travels, but I had to really reconsider how much I wanted to share and how I was going to share it when I had my daughter last year. It's all about finding that balance of whatever makes you happy!

Happy Monday! I hope you find your joy in blogging again! I know at times it can be tough since it can be a "chore" but I'm sure you'll rediscover the reason and joy for starting this blog. Currently loving Butterfly Wings from Leighton Denny - pretty iridescent pink :)

I love O.P.I's Toucan Do It If You Try from their Brazil Collection! I wore it a few weeks back and got a ton of compliments!

I hope you get the joy of blogging back! Sometimes you just need to take a break, and hopefully you'll start to crave it again. I've started following a bunch of new blogs, and that's definitely reinvigorated me :)

I'm obsessed with OPI's Brazil collection. I have the red from it and love it. And thanks for the encouragement! Finding new inspiration always helps.

Yes, and sometimes summer activities such seem so much more appealing than sitting behind a computer. Thanks for the suggestion!!

Love pastel colors :)

A cross-country road trip sounds like so much fun! You're right, the middle of the US often gets forgotten. I definitely need to find my blogging balance and hopefully will get back in the groove before too long.

Glad I'm not alone. I feel like I'm at a crossroads and could go in a few directions. And I love teal nail colors! I wore Turquoise & Caicos by Essie constantly a few summers ago. Maybe it's time for it to make a comeback :)

How fun! Back in high school, I thought it would be a good idea to paint my nails with white out because it dries faster. Obviously I was on to the color trend, but this time I'll invest in real polish instead of an office supply.

Sometimes a defined break is good, especially instead of just going through the motions which can lead to a faster burnout. Thanks for the advice!

We love painting just one nail a different color - like the ring finger. So go all pink then have one blue nail, or vice versa! Love neons too for something really bold!
